Lake 22

I crave the sun during the long Portland winters. It’s just now finally beginning to feel like summer, and after the hot and relaxing Memorial Day weekend camping trip, I’ve been craving the cool mountain air. So this weekend I set off from Seattle to Lake 22 for a lovely brisk hike with Weston.

The hike up to the lake is about 5.4 miles round trip. There’s also a trail that loops around the lake but a large chunk of it was still under snow. We managed to get a little further down the snowed in trail and decided to set up the hammock right along the lake and settled in for a few hours of reading and nap time, taking in the fresh, crisp air before hiking back.
