I spent most of the week on a work trip in a sweltering hot and humid NYC, missing the crisp, clean air and nature-filled Pacific Northwest.

I finally arrived back to this beautiful state yesterday after some travel delay struggles. So this morning, I headed out west with some fabulous women from Mountain Chicks PNW to hike Chush Falls near Sisters, Oregon for some much needed time in the outdoors.

The hike to the lookout point at Chush Falls is 5 miles round trip. To get to the bottom of the falls takes a short but steep scramble down.

The view of the falls from the bottom is well worth the precarious bushwhacking. Be cautious on the way down as it does get a bit slippery at the bottom. Wear waterproof boots as it does get pretty muddy at the base of the falls!

Muddy boots, happy heart!
