Tamanawas Falls

Portland has been having an unusual winter with tons of snowfall. My friend and I decided to do a hike at Tamanawas Falls in Mt. Hood National Forest anyways and were greeted with piles of snow along the trail.

The hike was about 3.5 miles out and back without much of an elevation gain but the deep snow and lack of crampons or snowshoes made the trip in the snow a bit more challenging than expected.

Catching the beautiful frozen waterfalls as the sun began to slip behind the trees was well worth the cold, snowy hike.
